Job Summary:
The Digital Marketing Specialist for AIA Las Vegas and AIA Nevada plays a critical role in elevating the voice of architects, advancing the power of design, and strengthening our visibility across digital platforms. This position leads the development and execution of creative, mission-driven digital strategies that support member engagement, program promotion, and organizational storytelling.
From managing a robust email ecosystem to designing and publishing a 50+ page monthly newsletter, this role requires a blend of design expertise, content strategy, and project management. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, tech-savvy communicator who can translate complex ideas into compelling digital content that aligns with our mission to inspire, empower, and transform communities.
Responsibilities:
Digital Strategy & Campaign Development
• Develop and execute integrated digital campaigns to promote programs, advocacy, and events.
• Manage content calendars aligned with organizational goals and seasonal priorities.
• Ensure brand consistency across all channels in alignment with AIA national and chapter branding guidelines.
Email Marketing & Digital Publications
• Manage and produce weekly email campaigns, including event announcements, advocacy alerts, and member communications.
• Oversee the full editorial lifecycle of AIA Las Vegas’s monthly digital newsletter (50+ pages), including layout design, content collection, formatting, editing, and distribution.
• Collaborate with internal staff, committees, and contributors to ensure timely and accurate content that reflects current programs and member interests.
• Track engagement and performance metrics to refine outreach strategies and maximize member engagement.
Graphic Design & Brand Assets
• Design visually compelling marketing materials including flyers, social media graphics, digital ads, presentations, signage, and event collateral using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Maintain and evolve branded templates, toolkits, and design systems to support consistent communication and scalable content creation.
• Assist in the development of sponsor recognition materials, partner advertisements, and branded assets for use across digital and print.
Website Management
• Maintain and update the AIA Las Vegas and AIA Nevada websites, ensuring accuracy, usability, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.
• Optimize site architecture and content for SEO best practices and intuitive user navigation.
• Integrate event registration platforms, member tools, and third-party services into the site as needed.
Social Media & Community Engagement
• Create and schedule mission-aligned social media content across Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
• Monitor engagement, respond to comments and inquiries, and grow audience reach through strategic storytelling and real-time coverage.
• Use analytics to assess performance, identify trends, and optimize digital engagement across platforms.
Event Marketing & Sponsorship Fulfillment
• Collaborate with the events team to promote major initiatives including the Annual Golf Tournament, Product Show, Design and Service Awards, and Scholarship Program.
• Coordinate digital promotional materials, registration workflows, and pre/post event marketing timelines.
• Support live event media including slideshows, signage, digital backdrops, and social coverage.
• Track and fulfill digital marketing deliverables promised to sponsors, including logo placements, recognition in email and social media, and inclusion in newsletters or event materials.
• Maintain a sponsorship fulfillment checklist, working cross-functionally to ensure all commitments are delivered and documented.
Qualifications:.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital communications, graphic design, journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–3 years of digital marketing or editorial content production experience, ideally in a nonprofit, membership, or professional association setting.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Canva, and WordPress or other CMS platforms.
• Experience with Constant Contact, Mailchimp, or similar email marketing platforms.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics, SEO best practices, and social scheduling tools.
• Outstanding writing, editing, layout, and visual storytelling skills.
• High level of organizational and project management ability, including managing deadlines for multi-contributor publications.
• Interest in architecture, design, or the built environment is a plus.
